The Hope in the University Forum empowers Students to influence the way their University is run. By deciding together what we believe is best for our education we have a strong voice to lobby the University. This allows students to address issues within their faculties and courses as well as the generally delivery of education and the facilities provided. This Forum is where you can hold the Vice- President of Education and Student Officers to account.

For example: Following Government spending cuts, the University proposes to close the Art Department. Rajeev, a first year Art Student, is strongly against this measure. He, along with a group of Art students, proposes that the Union run a “Save the Arts” campaign. They come along to a forum meeting and debate this measure. The Forum votes in agreement with this proposal and mandates (requires) the Vice President Education to run this campaign and Lobby the University to stop this cut.
