The Hope in the Union Forum is is where you take control of your Union. Setting the direction, activities and vision for all Hope students whilst at University. This Forum is where you can hold the President and Student Officers to account.

Within this forum members can discuss and debate political issues and influence the Union’s policy with the intention of creating political direction. Student groups can also bid for funding in this forum. This will mean that money is distributed according to how you think it should be distributed.

For example: Laura is a second year Psychology Student who believes that the Government public service cuts are wrong and wants the Union to provide a coach for Students to attend a huge demonstration in London. She submits a proposal to the Forum and persuades a large group of her friends to come along. At the forum, Laura puts her proposal to the Students who attend and it is debated. Following this, there is a vote and Laura’s proposal is overwhelmingly supported and the Motion passes. The President, therefore, organises a coach to London on the day of the protest and Liverpool Hope Students’ Union’s voice is heard.
